NBA: Bulls 88, Lakers 87 (December 25, 2011)

After a lengthy lockout that shortened the season to 66 games, the NBA returned with 5 games on Christmas Day, including one that had a Derrick Rose buzzer-beater that enabled the Chicago Bulls the defeat the Los Angeles Lakers. Rose lead the Bulls in points and assists with 22 and 5 respectively. Joakim Noah lead the team in rebounds with 9. Luol Deng lead the team in steals with 4. Kobe Bryant lead the Lakers in points and assists with 28 and 6 respectively. Josh McRoberts, Pau Gasol, and Troy Murphy had 8 rebounds each for the Lakers. Tough loss for the Lakers but it is very early in the season and both teams are sure to make the playoffs.
