With EA Sports not releasing NBA Elite 11 when they were supposed to, NBA 2K11 from 2K Sports is just about the only NBA simulation game you can get for the Xbox 360. Just as in previous years, rosters and player statistics are constantly updated throughout the NBA season. At the play now screen, you can play out games that are actually happening that night (I have done that with many games involving the Denver Nuggets to get used to playing the game). This game also has Michael Jordan in it and you can play as many classic teams (not just old Chicago Bulls teams either). When you first start up the game, a simulation the Game 1 of the 1991 NBA Finals between the Chicago Bulls and the Los Angeles Lakers comes up. You play as the Chicago Bulls (Michael Jordan and all) against the Lakers who have legends Magic Johnson and James Worthy. The game is pretty solid and can get difficult (at least for me) at higher diffuculty levels. There is a practice mode where you can work on many different aspects of the game. As the only game in town, 2K Sports will certainly have a hit on their hands with this game. Rating: 4 out of 5
